Today I
want to share with you about the famous drugstore brand, Maybelline. So why it
called drugstore? Because you actually buy it in a drugstore, like in Indonesia
drugstore: watsons, guardian, century, etc. Beside that, drugstore make up is
categorized as a very affordable make up brand. So yes, Maybelline categorized
as drugstore make up, because it is dirty cheap people. When I say cheap, not
mean that they have a bad quality. Amazingly, Maybelline with some money you
can get a real amazing quality. Even you can compared it to the high brand one!

Maybelline
is one of affordable brand make up that I love. Many of their products in the
price range under Rp 100.000,- or $10 that is cheap if you compare to their
quality. And in this post too I want to share which Maybelline product that
become "dupe" for high end brand. Dupe is state where the product is
really similar with another product in terms in quality and formulas, but you
can get the dupe for a far different price (much more cheaper!).
So, I
want to share with you some of my favorite one from Maybelline, the top 5 one
under Rp 100.000,- and the "dupe" that I really enjoy wearing
them. Here it is:

This is maybe the prettiest, most beautiful from
all Maybelline products out there! The packaging is transparent in the tube, so
you can see the real actual color inside. The silver accent for the bottle is really
pretty, remind me of the Dior make up that have all silver bottle and silver
accent in every their make up product. It is so cute, little bottle that you
can pop in your bag and take any where. The color is very good, it has a stain
effect I guess, because it is long lasting in your lips even the glossy effect
is disappear.
Maybelline Lip Polish, in my opinion, is
very much likely Dior Addict Fluid Lipstick for their formulas and consistency.
The difference is only a bit in the formulas, the Dior Addict Fluid Lipstick is
much liquid and the color is so vibrant, much like liquid lipstick and no
gloss. The other side Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Polish is more like
hybrid from gloss and lipstick, especially more to gloss side.
I really
like this product, I even bring this to work offshore before. It is one of my
most carry lip product in my make up pouch, not to mention I have a many other
lip product.

The Falsies is maybe the most famous one mascara
from Maybelline. Maybelline known from good brand that produce a great mascara,
and this is one of the best from them. This falsies curl your lashes (because
of the curve wand), make it voluminous, and spread it. I think this one of the
best mascara and you can compare it with the high end one.
The falsies is very similar to the famous Lancome
Hypnose series, especially the drama mascara one. The wand is a bit similar,
both have a curve one. The formulas is similar too, but the Maybelline one does
not have a long lasting curl effect, not like Lancome one.
But I think the falsies still a very great option
for your daily basis. Mascara is one of my daily make up product and I think is
me being overspent if I use the expensive one like Lancome. Beside, the effect
is so similar, so why bother use the cheap one?

Maybelline Color Tattoo you can compare it to high one eyeshadow like Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill series or Chanel Illusion D'ombre. The quality is sooooo good. You can dip your finger inside or you eye brush make up and one swipe voilaaa! your eyeshadow is ready.

This
Maybelline Fashion Brow is rated new in Indonesian market. I rarely see brow
mascara in Indonesian drugstore. But this is a great one, this one have a wand
like mascara and you can use really like mascara as usual. The formulas will
make your "messy" eyebrow stay in place until the end of your busy
day! Your brow will look same like you first apply this prove this is a really
"hold up tight" product. You don't even need touch up.
This
product really remind me in Benefit Gimme Brow. The wand of mascara is
obviously so much different. The maybelline one is large in the end and Benefit
one is so slim and tiny brush. But the formulas is really similar! Both make
our brow stay in place and beautiful.
